| Labour Day Long Weekend is coming up – it’s usually called October Long Weekend but this year it’s mostly in September, because Labour Day is the first Monday in October (in NSW, anyway). Labour Day is particularly important as it celebrates the achievements of workers like you, and in some parts of the world it is called 8 Hours Day in reference to one of the union movement’s earliest achievements in relation to working conditions.
Because Labour Day is a public holiday set aside for workers, it’s safe to say you should celebrate it by treating yourself to a bit of fun and relaxation that weekend!
